Oral / Poster Guidelines

chris wagstaff 2Oral presentations are presented in Concurrent Sessions. Each session is comprised of three or four presentations, each lasting 20 minutes (15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for audience questions). In our conference, it is possible to change between sessions. This means, that the time table is followed very strictly. Chairs and co-chairs in the sessions will inform all the presenters about time and they are instructed to stop the presenter if they speak longer than 15 minutes. In 15 minutes you have good time to present your study, project or development project. We recommend the use of PowerPoint. In the slides, we hope you to follow the abstract guideline headings: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusions. In 15 minutes you can have from 10 to 12 slides. Use font size 24, maximum of 40 words / slide, and consider if you can replace some of the text with a picture. Oral presentation abstracts are printed in the conference abstract book.

poster wallsPosters are presented in poster presentation area during the whole conference. You can bring your poster starting from Wed 4 October afternoon and you have to remove it latest Fri 6 October after the conference. Size of the poster wall is approximately width 100 cm x height 200 cm. All posters need to be vertical. Good size for poster is e.g. A0 (width 841 mm x height 1189 mm). Remember that participants need to able to read your poster from two meters distance. This means that the font size needs to be big enough. Don’t try to include too much information on the poster. Time for poster viewing is marked on the conference program, and we hope that authors are willing to presents their posters to participants during this time. We have special Poster Speed Dates in the program, and during these hours presenters are asked to present their posters personally. Poster┬ápresentation abstracts are printed in the conference abstract book.
